The vow is spoken in the first practitioner ritual before the Light of the Mysteries and is not directed to the teacher personally, but to the Light. Rather, the teacher and other attendees witness the will of the practitioner to behave ethically, loyally, respectfully, and responsibly toward the Qabbalah Maasit system. Any questions regarding the vow should be clarified before the workshop or at the latest before the ritual.
In antiquity, when the Mysteries were still connected with the art of healing, every physician had to take the Hippocratic Oath, and likewise in the Qabbalah Maasit and in Refuah, there is a vow to be taken, which expresses the duties that are associated with the status of the Healer in the Mysteries or with the Practitioner of Practical Qabbalah. The Refuah Vow has many parallels to the Hippocratic Oath and is spoken before Rafael, the Angel of Healing, just as the Hippocratic Oath was spoken before Apollo, and Asclepius and Hygeia and Panakeia .

As a representative of the Qabbalah Maasit System
for Practical Miracle Work and Success in Life,
I hereby solemny undertake to act in a way
that is beneficial to the dignity of the Qabbalah Maasit System
and the reputation of the Western Mystery Tradition.
I will always perform my work as a Practical Qabbalist
with love to my fellow men and with sense of responsibility.
In my work as a Practical Qabbalist and in my life as a whole
I will strive to actualise within myself the highest ethical ideals.
I also undertake to refrain from performing, offering or teaching
any unethical or dubious, or superstitious practices
that could inflict damage on the reputation of the Mysteries.
I undertake to behave in a respectful and loyal manner
towards my Qabbalah Maasit teacher and their Qabbalah Maasit teachers,
and to honour the line of tradition of Qabbalah Maasit teachers.
I also undertake to further a respectful and amicable way of interaction
among all Qabbalah Maasit practitioners.
I undertake to pass on or make available the Qabbalah Maasit system and its contents
to others only with permission respectively authorization to teach.
Salomo Baal-Shem has been studying and practicing the Western Mystery Tradition for over twenty years. He is an Initiate and Adept of the Western Mystery Tradition, a personal student of Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki and he is the Grandmaster of the Brotherhood of the Eternal Light.
